Movable Asset Valuations
Movable Asset Valuations
Movable asset valuation determines the value of machinery, equipment and installations (MEI) and represents one of the broadest categories of assets that may be subject to an ANEVAR valuation. The mobility of these assets clearly differentiates them from real estate.
Movable Asset Valuation Report
The most commonly used approaches for valuing movable assets are the market and cost approaches and, when the asset’s contribution to a company’s income can be isolated, the income approach. For common movable assets with measurable market supply and demand, such as passenger vehicles, the market approach is usually preferred.
Online Movable Asset Valuation
As with other types of online valuation, the instructions and purpose of the engagement can be established by email or through video applications such as Skype or Zoom. The information needed for the report can be collected remotely, while inspection remains essential.
Movable Asset Valuation Price
Pricing for movable asset valuations depends on the complexity of the asset and the number of hours allocated by the ANEVAR-certified valuer to complete the process and prepare the final report. Fees are lower for common movable assets with an active market and higher for specialized industrial assets.
